Stroll through the tree-lined streets of the Duchy towards the town centre, where independent shops, delis and cafes give Harrogate its distinctive character. In Montpellier and along Cold Bath Road, you'll find plenty of places to eat and drink, from coffee and pastries to memorable evening dishes from around the world.
Best of all, everything is within walking distance, so there's no need to worry about driving or booking a taxi home.
Harrogate earned its reputation as a Victorian spa town, and its beautifully tiled Turkish Baths still offer a traditional heat and relaxation experience in an ornate historic setting. It's a real treat, and booking in advance is a must.
Just beyond the baths, Valley Gardens offers acres of green space to explore. Continue through the gardens to RHS Garden Harlow Carr, one of the country's finest gardens, and refuel at the world-famous Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms.
